Export sale of wheat
An export order of 25,000 tonnes of non-milling grade wheat has been arranged by Cereal Exports New Zealand, marketing agents for United Wheat Growers. The deal has been made with an international buyer and it is believed the wheat will be sent to Asia. The wheat will be loaded at Bluff and Timaru and shipped before the end of July. Mr N. Q. Wright, chairman of United Wheat Growers, said he welcomed the sale because it would allow the early movement of a big proportion of nonmilling grade wheat.
