Motor-cyclist’s body found
PA Auckland The body of a motorcyclist was found lying near his damaged machine in the Auckland suburb of Pakuranga early yesterday. He was lan Mervyn Stowers, aged 21, a factory hand, of Otara. The Auckland police said that Mr Stowers appeared to have crashed some time before daybreak after losing control of his motor-cycle. The police are seeking witnesses to the accident. Upper Hutt intersection on Wednesday afternoon. She was Ruth Brown, aged 13, of Upper Hutt. She was crossing the intersection, which is controlled by lights, on her way home from school when she was struck by the truck. A cyclist was killed in a collision in Hamilton on Wednesday. He was Gerard Walter Burns, aged 21, of Newstead, near Hamilton. He died when the bicycle he was riding and a car collided soon after 5.30 p.m.
