Highway on schedule
Wellington reporter Reconstruction work making the Main South Road at Hornby four lanes wide is still expected by the National Roads Board to be completed in November this year.
The contract was let in December, 1983, and the board’s chief highways engineer, Mr E. J. Burt, said the final cost of $660,000 would be up slightly on the $611,721 of the original contract
