Escaper ‘dangerous’

A prisoner who escaped from Paparua Prison yesterday morning should not be approached, the Christchurch police have warned. George Victor Kemp, a solidly built Polynesian with black hair and brown eyes, and 170 cm tall (sft sin), is believed to have a gun. “He is dangerous and should not be approached,” said a police spokesman. Kemp was last seen in the boiler room of the prison about 9 a.m. yesterday. He was dressed in blue denim shirt and trousers.
