Second N.Z. fishing census

in Wellington New Zealand’s second census on fishing, for the year ended March 31, 1984, is being conducted by the Statistics Department.
It will survey the activities of all New Zealand businesses engaged in commercial fishing in ocean, coastal, off-shore, and estuary waters, as well as fishing in inland waters and fish farming. For businesses with a balance date other than March 31, a questionnaire will be required for the closest
trading year ending before March 31, 1984. Three different types of questionnaire will be used:— • For single-base businesses; • For multi-base businesses as a whole; and 9 Covering all aspects of the multi-base businesses that are engaged in the same type of fishing. Copies of the census and supplementary questionnaires are available at Statistics Department offices at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin.
