Beef prices

Beef prices have dropped again in the South Island section of the export schedule for farmers for the coming week.

All prices for the prime grades G, T, E and LI, have dropped 5c a kilogram and for the Pl grade all prices have dropped 10c a kilogram. These reductions apply to steer, heifer and cow beef.

Sheep skins have increased in price by 20c per head. All other prices are unchanged.

For a sheep with a wool pull of o.skg the price will now be 349 c, with o.Bkg, 412 c; with I.lkg, 482 c; with I.4kg, 547 c; j with I.7kg, 62Sc and with 2kg, 706 c. •
