Refuse collection

Sir,—Recently I moved from Waimairi to the Christchurch City Council’s rating area, and I have been annoyed to find that I have an inferior rubbish collection. In Waimairi the collectors will take as many bags as are left out, as well as bundled newspapers and cardboard cartons. The City Council collectors will collect two bags and nothing else. I hope that a concerned city councillor or the Mayor will notice that a complete and efficient rubbish collection means a cleaner and more attractive city. — Yours, etc., A. J. BULL. May 16, 1984.
