Actor has stroke

NZPA-PA London Bernard Youens, who plays work-shy Stan Ogden in the television series, “Coronation Street,” has suffered a stroke, a hospital spokesman has confirmed. It was his second stroke in nine years. Youens, aged 68, also suffered a heart attack in the early 19705. “His condition is stable. He is quite comfortable and continuing treatment for the stroke,” said a spokesman at Salford Royal Hospital in Greater Manchester.
