BHP boosts indices
Demand for BHP and the day’s four new listings dominated trading on Australian sharemarkets yesterday, as prices were supported by brighter indicators from overseas.
The all-ordinaries index closed 3.1 points higher at 733.3, the all-industrials index added 2.6 to 993.8, while the all-resources index put on 3.4 to 528.3.
