Close basketball finals
PA Nelson Two exciting finals highlighted the last day of the countrywide South Island age basketball championships in Nelson yesterday. In the under-14 round robin series. Twizel defeated Marlborough. 48-22, to take the title after going through the series unbeaten. Twizel took a fine double when they came from behind in the concluding minutes to take the under-16 title, defeating acwell-drilled Timaru side, in an ■exciting 43-41 finish. The
