W. Germans to speak in Chch
Two leading figures in the West German Green Party, Petra Kelly and Gert Bastian, will be in Christchurch at the end of this month for the start of a brief New Zealand visit.
They will speak at a public meeting in the Limes Room at the Christchurch Town Hall at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29. Their only other public meeting will be in Auckland on May 31. They will speak about the Green Party, which won 27 seats in the 1983 West German Federal election, the European peace movement, and environmental issues.
The visit has been organised by the Values Party.
