Fairlie woman killed in crash
PA Timaru A woman died in a car accident early yesterday morning on her way home from her own farewell party. She was Sharon Maree Cassie, aged 21, of Fairlie. She was due to leave for Canada yesterday, the police said. A Fairlie man, a passenger in the vehicle, is in a critical condition in Timaru hospital. His name was unavailable. One woman died, two
people were seriously injured, and six others taken to the Rotorua Hospital after a four-car crash in the Mamaku hills near Rotorua yesterday. The Rotorua police said that the name of the dead woman, believed to be from Rotorua, and of those badly injured have not yet been released. Three cars were badly damaged in the crash, and fire service and St John Ambulance vehicles attended from Putaruru and Rotorua. /
