At Southland Hospital, the Board has established an 18 bed Geriatric Asessment and Rehabilitation Unit and additional general beds may be made available for this purpose. The Board also has Geriatric beds at Lome Hospital (94 beds), Seddon Memorial Hospital, Gore (24 beds), and Riverton Hospital (99 beds). A new Geriatric Assessment and Rehabilitation Unit (40 beds) is in the process of construction at Southland Hospital and is due to be completed at the end of 1984.
