THE UNIVERSITY OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA (Port Moresby) VACANCY APPLICATIONS are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following position: SENIOR TECHNICAL OFFICER (P.842008/84) (Community Medicine) The Department is Involved In the training of undergraduate and postgraduate students and In a number of projects related to the development of rural health services. The latter may result in the generation of relatively large data bases. The appointee would be Involved in the computer management of such data, and in supporting postgraduate student teaching. Applicants should have a qualification in data management or computer science. Experience in health related fields, with data based management systems, and/or with training would be an advantage. Salary: Senior Technical Officer - K 17.445 per annum plus gratuity. OTHER CONDITIONS The successful applicant will be offered a contract for a three year appointment. The gratuity entitlement Is based on 24 p.c. of salary earned and Is payable In Installments or lump sum and Is taxed at a flat rate of 2 p.c.
