Elderly couple killed

PA Rotorua An elderly Te Puke couple and two young men died in two road accidents in the Bay of Plenty on Tuesday. The couple were killed when their car and a truck collided. They were Albert James Branney, aged 83, and Lucy Branney, aged 84. The driver of the truck was treated in hospital and discharged. At Upper Atiamuri, about 40km from Rotorua, two men were killed when their van collided with a fertiliser

truck. They were David Walter Smith, aged 21, of Rotorua, and Peter David Marshall, aged 27, of Tokoroa. A young woman has died in Auckland Hospital from injuries she suffered in a motor accident a week ago. She was Tammy Lee Bradley, aged 23, of Orewa. Miss Bradley was a passenger in a car that rolled off a road on May 2. She was trapped in the car and did not regain consciousness after the accident.
