Noble Note and Tim Lea, both winners at the Canterbury Jockey Club’s Easter meeting, will campaign for Canterbury stables in Queensland in the next few weeks.
They will be sent to Auckland early next week and will be flown from there to Australia on May 15.
Noble Note, the star of John Bourne’s Riccarton team, brought his record to nine wins from 22 starts
when he trotted up in the Templeton Handicap on the first day of the Riccarton Easter carnival.
His main mission will be the $207,000 Elders Stakes in Brisbane in June. Tim Lea has also shown he is an emerging sprint talent in recent starts for Mr Bob Woodham from the Ashburton stable of Peter Williams. His win in the Golden Gate Handicap at Riccarton last Saturday was his sixth from nine starts.
