Marlborough: Fresh cold southerlies this morning

with a few showers; otherwise mainly fine with north-westerlies developing later; cool. Nelson: Showery about the western ranges; mainly fine elsewhere; strong gusty south-westerlies. Buller: Cold and showery with some fresh snow on the ranges; strong southwesterlies. Westland: Strong southwesterlies; cold with showers; some hail, and snow down to 500 m.
