Public Notices gOAOUGH Qc Constituted 1913 RICCARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL SPECIAL ORDER RAISING OF RICCARTON TOWN CENTRE IMPROVEMENTS LOAN 1984 - $559,000 NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Rlccarton Borough Council held on April 30, 1984, the following resolution was passed: “That the Rlccarton Borough Council hereby resolves, pursuant to the powers contained In Section 238 and Part XXI of the Local Government Act 1974 and Section 24 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, to raise a loan of $559,000 to be known as the Rlccarton Town Centre Improvements Loan 1984, for the purposes of carrying out traffic and environmental ■ improvements In the Rlccarton Town Centre and reimbursing the general account for expenditure already incurred, the said loan to be raised for a maximum of 12 years and In accordance with the determinations given In the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board dated March 20,1984. Pursuant to Section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, it is hereby resolved that security for the said loan shall be a special rate of such amount each year upon the rateable value of all rateable property In the Borough of Rlccarton as is sufficient to provide in that year for the payment of the annual charges in respect of the said loan, plus 10 per cent thereof until the loan Is paid off. Note: It Is not the council’s Intention to levy the above rate over the whole Borough but to meet the loan charges by way of a dlf- . ferentlal rate over the Rlccarton TownCentre area. It Is hereby further resolved that the foregoing resolution be publicly notified and submitted for confirmation as a special order at a council meeting to be held in the Council Room on Monday, May 28, 1984, at 7.30 p.m. Further notice is given that a poll of ratepayers of the borough Is required to be taken if 15 per cent of the ratepayers of the borough so demand In writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned not later than 9 a.m. on the date fixed for confirmation of the above resolution.
