Seafood delegates meet
PA Wellington Representatives of 17 New Zealand seafood comBanies are attending the [ational Fisheries Institute convention in Hawaii this week. The convention is a forum at which important issues concerning the United States fishing industry are discussed. For New Zealand it is a valuable opportunity to promote seafood product’s and the New Zealand industry. The United States is New Zealand’s most important seafood market after Japan, said the New Zealand Fishing Industry Board yesterday. Last year, exports to the United States were worth $74 million, compared with $25 million four years earlier.
