Soviets qualify
NZPA-Reuter Moscow The Soviet Union qualified for the finals of the Los Angeles Olympic soccer tournament despite losing, 1-0, to Hungary. The result left the Soviet Union and Hungary level on eight points in the European qualifying group A but the Soviets topped the group by virtue of a better goal difference.
