Kirkness beaten in billiards

Although he scored a break of 137 on his first visit to the table, Brian Kirkness was not able to keep ahead of Sid Baker during their premier A inter-club billiards match. Baker fought back with breaks of 43, 45 and 53 to be within 30 of Kirkness’s total with smin left. Kirkness played safe on two occasions, out Baker managed to score both times and, with an unfinished break of 25, won by 208202.
