Women
Sir, — The National Organisation for Women congratulates the Broadcasting Corporation of New Zealand for appointing a brilliant
successor to Rodney Bryant — Liz Grant — and “The Press,” for featuring the appointment prominently on the front page. It also congratulates “The Press” on having the number of women’s photographs in the first 20 pages increased to 11 out of the 42 printed. It was particularly good to read what Dr Woolcock and Miss Cameron had to say about curbing asthma deaths in New Zealand and infant mortality in the Third World, two major concerns. — Yours, etc., Betty Roberts, Co-ordinator N.0.W., Christchurch April 19, 1984.
