Duo tops poll
“McPhail and Gadsby" was the most popular television programme in the latest week surveyed by the Broadcasting Corporation. It attracted 36.1 per cent of the viewing audience, or more than one million people, in the week ending April 19.
Next, in order of popularity, were: “I Like That One: 2” (35.3 p.c.), “Miss Universe New Zealand” (35.3), “World of Disney” (33.5), “One Cooks, One Doesn’t” (31.9), “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” (31.5) “Family Ties” (31.4), “Ready to Roll” (30.7), 6.30 News (30.6) and “Hill Street Blues” (29.9).
“The Young Doctors” slipped from sixth to eleventh place.
