Thackwell takes lead
NZPA-AAP London The New Zealand driver, Mike Thackwell, drove a flawless race to win this week’s formula two motorracing event at Thruxton, Hampshire, and take a clear
lead in this year’s European championship. The Perth-based driver, who had also been fastest in practice, took the lead on lap 12 of the 55-lap, 125-mile race from Germany’s Christian Danner.
