Motor-cycle sales rise

PA Wellington Motor-cycle sales have jumped to their highest level in a year, with 1915 new machines registered in March.

Traditionally one of the best months for sales, the March figure is still well down on the same month of 1983, when 2716 motorcycles were sold.

The figures released by the Post Office gave Honda 46.6 per cent of the market with 892 machines sold. Suzuki was second with 494 sales or 25.8 per cent, and Yamaha sold 426. Figures for the first quarter of 1984 gave Honda a 42 ?;r cent share, Suzuki 28.6, amaha 23.6, and Kawasaki 3.4 per cent.
