Canterbury veteran competitors performed well on the second day of the Oceania Games at Canberra, winning 10 placings. Results were.—
Men over-55,1500m; Graham White, 1,4 min 365; 1500 m steeplechase; lan Brownie, 1, 5:30. Women over-55, long jump: Shirley Petersen, 1, 4.25 m; 100 m: Shirley Petersen, 1, 13.95. Men over-55, javelin: Arthur Grayburn, 2,43.78 m. Women over-45, 80m hurdles: Iris Bishop, 2, 18.25. Women over-50, 1500 m, June Miles, 2, 5:32. Men over-55, long jump: Jack King, 3,4.64 m. Men over--65, 100 m: Harry Cook, 3,14.645. Women over-60, 1500 m: Trixie Smith, 3, 8:03.
