Soccer resignation
Allan Fraser is stepping down from the chairmanship of the Canterbury Football Association to take a full-time position with the Auckland Football Association.
He will take up his new position on June 5, ending a 32-year association with the Canterbury junior and senior administrative soccer bodies. It was, Mr Fraser said, a difficult decision to make but he felt that a full-
time job in soccer will present a fresh challenge. The previous administrative officer of the A.F.A., Annette Burke, resigned last year. Mr Fraser said that he would like to retire back in Rangiora. The replacement as chairman will be discussed by the C.F.A. at its meeting next week. The president will be the former chairman of Christchurch United, David Cox.
