Young New Brighton athletes shine

New Brighton with 1844 points, was the top club in the Canterbury Children’s Athletic Association’s competitions in the 1984 season. The runner-up was Papa-nui-Redwood with 1569 points. In relay events Papanui-Redwood reversed the result, scoring 210 points to New Brighton’s 194. Toe H accumulated the most points, 161, at the end of season championships and Avon, with 154 points, was the runner-up.
