Business funding response good
The Canterbury Development Corporation, Ltd, set up to stimulate job creation, is meeting an enthusiastic response in the business community. Directors of tlje corporation began calling on businesses on Monday. By yesterday they had been promised investments totalling $36,700. This comes after firms and organisations have provided $35,000 worth of free services to help set up the corporation, building on a $500,000 grant from the Christchurch City Council to start the scheme.
