New talkback show
George Balani, the host of Radio New Zealand’s Monday night nation-wide talkback show, will be the host of a new talkback programme beginning on 3ZB on Monday. The new programme will air each weekday evening from 7 pan. until 10 p.m., and will be centred on Mr Balani’s views and opinions. Mr Balani, aged 34, has been involved in radio in New Zealand in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch since 1968. He was a news and weather presenter on CHTV3 in Christchurch in 1969, and has worked for 3ZB since 1975, aside from a short break when he bought a Christchurch restaurant
