A new book on Jimi Hendrix relates a story that the American guitarist was kidnapped at gunpoint by the Mafia.
Jerry Hopkins includes the yarn in his latest book, “The Jimi Hendrix Story” (Sphere). Hopkins is known for his work with Danny Sugerman on the Jim Morrison (of Doors fame) biography, “No One Here Gets Out Alive.”
