Road running points
Mark Mitchell (Sumner) and Susan Taylor (St Martins) won the men’s and women’s points championships for the summer road running season, organised by the Canterbury Road Running Committee. Taylor was a clear winner of the women’s section, with 41 points from a possible of 60 in six races, while Mitchell won by only one point from Kevin O’Sullivan (University), accumulating 31 points to

Veteran men: P. Watts (St Martins) 40%, J. Souter 40, G. Eng (University) 29. Veteran women: B. Philbey (Anglican) 46, D. Stead (Technical) 35, L. Epps (New Brighton) and P. Berry (Anglican) 20.
