Sir,—From comment by Graeme Stanley (April 4) it would seem another general community-wide clean-up bee might be overdue. The sides of the road in St John Street, from Maces Road to Linwood Avenue, are also fast becoming a tipping area. The recent M.E.D. roadworks buried a lot of it, but I see from contents of spilt blue bags and tipped-up wooden crates of rubbish that it is starting again. It is not all because of the action of the local residents. People are driving through and deliberately dumping as they go.—Yours, etc., H. TURNER. April 4, 1984. <
