PA Wellington Mr M. E. Lambert has been appointed the first editor of the New Zealand Press Association. NZPA’s general manager, Mr G. W. Jenkins, said that until 1952 the manager was in day-to-day control of the news flow as well as the association’s business affairs. In that year Mr H. L. Verry was appointed news editor and ran the news side. Later he became managing editor and then’ general manager but the title of news editor had been
retained until Mr Lambert’s appointment. Mr Lambert has been news editor for the last four years. Before his appointment as news editor, he served as NZPA staff corrrespondent in its Washington bureau for four years. Other appointments announced by NZPA are those of Mr A. C. Graham as marketing manager and Mr C. R. L. Horrocks, who succeeds Mr Graham as manager of Reuter’s economic services in New Zealand.
