CRA in profit
CRA, Ltd, Australia’s largest mining company, returned to the black in the year to December 31, earning an equity profit of sAust7l.6M compared with its first loss of $17.5M in the previous corresponding period. Turnover rose 66 per cent to $3183M with the inclusion of Comalco, Ltd, as a 67 per cent-owned subsidiary. CRA held 45 per cent of Comalco previously. A final dividend of 9c a share increases the annual rate from 3c to 12c a share (24 per cent).
