Hornby Mall flooded
The Hornby Mall, which has been collecting tinned products for the victims of the Southland floods, was itself affected by flooding last evening. Hornby was hit by a cloudburst about 5.30 p.m. and about scm of water had to be mopped out of the
mall, said the mall manager, Mr Ray Morris. A line of tins about 100 metres long had so far been collected in the “tinnies trail,” but these were not damaged. Some floor coverings were slightly damaged, said Mr Morris.
