Missing man found
An elderly man reported overdue on a fishing trip off Banks Peninsula yesterday was found safe and well in his 5m runabout off Le Bons Bay last evening. A Royal New Zealand Air Force Iroquois helicopter spotted the runabout about
6.10 p.m. The man, aged 70, landed the runabout at Le Bons Bay soon after he realised he was the subject of a search and rescue effort. He had set out on the fishing expedition from Lyttelton early yesterday morning.
