Highlights televised
PA Wellington Television will have delayed highlights cover of New Zealand’s remaining cricket matches against Sri Lanka, said T.V.N.Z.’s head jf sport, Keith McEwen, last evening. “We’re getting film of the three tests and the two remaining one-dayers,” Mr McEwen said. “We reached agreement yesterday with Sri Lankan authorities.”
Mr McEwen would not say how much T.V.N.Z. was paying. He had previously said that Sri Lanka’s asking price ws exorbitant but said last evening that the agreement reached was reasonable.
He did not know how soon after the action the programmes would be shown, or of what duration, but said that the highlights would probably be screened on Saturdays.
