PA Auckland Disappointing results in the furnishing and natural resources areas saw Feltex New Zealand, Ltd, earnings almost static in the December 31 halfyear. Net trading profit was down 6 per cent to $6.1 million. Group total net profit was up 1 per cent to $7.4 million (from $7.3 million previously) after inclusion of realised property gains of $l3 million ($800,000). Minority interests took $400,000 (nil in 1982). The unaudited result was in line with a 1 per cent lift in sales to $2482 million ($245.7 million). A steady interim dividend of 45c a share has been declared, payable tax-free from capital profits on April 3. Net asset backing has risen from 282 c to 299 c a share.
