Applications withdrawn
PA . Wellington Fifty-eight applications for price increases under the freeze regulations were withdrawn last week, just before the price freeze was lifted.
One hardship application was approved, one was received and one was declined, said the Secretary of Trade and Industry. A Te Hoe school bus firm, whose rates are paid by the Education Department, has been allowed an increase of 15.37 per cent The department also completed investigation of 79 complaints under the price freeze and found that in 69 instances (87 per cent), the prices charged were in order.
