Mike Nock on jazz
Mike Nock, New Zealand’s internationally-ac-claimed jazz pianist, returns to Christchurch for two exclusive cabaret appearances at the Limes Room of the Christchurch Town Hall, with late-night performances on March 16 and 17. Since leaving New Zealand in 1961 on a scholarship to music school in Boston, Nock has recorded nine, albums of his own and played keyboards as a sideman on more than 50 albums. He has also collaborated with New Zealand’s own group, Limbs, on a joint project, has composed and performed a work for piano and orchestra, written film music, and co-produced and hosted his own show, “Nock on Jazz,” for Television New Zealand.
