Aust, indices low
NZPA Sydney Share prices continued to fall on Australian stock exchanges yesterday, with brokers identifying Australian institutions as the main sellers. The all ordinaries index was down 14.6 at 723.1, the all industrials off 13.8 to 960.3 and the all resources back 15.0 to 535.0, establishing new 1984 closing lows for the three indices. BHP lost 35c to 1300 c. Metal leaders were weak with main falls being CRA 12c to 520, MIM also 12c to 328, WMC 13c to 392, E-Z Industries 20c to 500, North Broken Hill 10c to 260 and Renison also 10c to 350. Golds were inconsistent with Central Norseman up 10c to 650 while GMK fell 10c to 1040 and Emperor and Poseidon
lost sc. Peko fell 26c to 540 despite, doubling interim profit.
