Petrol rise criticised
PA Wellington The possibility of a petrol-price increase of 6c a litre to help finance Marsden Point refinery extensions was criticised at yesterday’s meeting of the Automobile Association. The association expressed opposition to the possible increase and will send letters to the Minister of Energy, Mr Birch, and directors of the refinery, pointing out its “concern and inability to accept” any such price rise. The meeting also asked that information about the increase be made publicly available.
