70 people appear in court
PA Auckland Seventy people arrested at the concert given by the rock band, The Police, on Wednesday evening, appeared in the District Court at Auckland yesterday. They faced such charges as disorderly behaviour, possessing and smoking cannabis, obscene language, fighting in a public place, and possessing offensive weapons, including softball
bats and knives. Most people charged with •drug offences were given total fines of $l5O, and one man was fined $220 for throwing an empty beer-can at a policeman. Two persons charged with using obscene and insulting language told the Court that they were angry that they had paid to get in to see the top British band while several hundred people stormed through the gates without paying.
