Railways’ plans still not public
PA Wellington Redevelopment plans for the Railways Corporation should be made public at the end of March, said its chairman, Mr Lyndsay Papps, yesterday. Final decisions had yet to
be taken by the corporation’s board, Mr Papps said. He gave a statement after requests for information about a confidential report by the consultants, Boos Allen and Hamilton,
which has partly formed the basis for “various new strategies.” Speculation has centred on the future of railway workshops, and possible redundancies.
