Response to free advts
The response to the free “work wanted” advertisements in “The Press” has been encouraging, according to the co-ordinator of the Canterbury Resource Centre, Mr Terry Hill. Twenty per cent of unemployed persons who placed advertisements in the column had found work within three weeks, he said yesterday. The column on Wednesday mornings, was first printed in December. Genuinely unemployed persons can place advertisements in it by getting in touch with the Resource Centre.
