Beckenham Street work wanted
Sir,—After your recent article on the Christchurch City Council’s Windfall of $715,000 from the sale of the South Belt yard, and the debate on spending it I suggest a portion be spared to upgrade the rarely-swept broken channels ana footpaths that abound in the Beckenham area, particularly in Fisher Avenue and Tennyson Street, where at the time of writing a dead cat and other debris have been awaiting a sweeper’s broom for quite a while.-Yours, etc., , Mrs T.
