Lincoln roll up
The student roll at Lincoln College this year has risen slightly, the Lincoln College Council was told yesterday. The acting principal, Professor R. H. M. Langer, told the council yesterday that the roll had risen from 1731 students last year to 1777 this year. These were figures taken from the enrolment week last week and could change before the end of March, he said. The number of students enrolled for bachelor of agriculture and bachelor ofhorticulture degrees had risen slightly, while those studying for the bachelor of
agricultural commerce degree were down. There had been an increase in the number of post-graduate students, and a revamping of the diploma of agriculture course last year bad made it more popular. The students’ halls of residence have a new Master of Halls, the meeting was told. Mr lan Street will take up the post at the end of April. He is at present working at the Outward Bound School at Anakiwa, where he is an instructor. Mr Street will be responsible for the welfare ana discipline of all students living on campus.
