Jennings ahead
An upsurge in new housing, improved profits from development projects, and a turnaround by its manufacturing arm helped Jennings Industries, Ltd, increase its group net trading profit 18 per cent to sAust6.6M in the six months to December 31. Turnover rose 8.7 per cent to $286.9M. The interim dividend is steady at 5c a share (10 per cent).
