“Summer Times”
Sir,—“Summer Times” has been a great success and credit must go to those involved in organising and implementing the programme. The programme was varied and interesting and public interest and participation was sustained. The media and sponsors also played a vital part in ensuring the success of “Summer Times.” As a public relations exercise, it is the best the Christchurch City Council has undertaken and achieved its purpose of involving the whole community. The original idea was that “Summer Times” would become an annual event in Christchurch. Let us hope the present council recognises the positive benefits and success of this summer’s effort and has the enterprise to continue “Summer Times.”—Yours, etc.,
ALISTAIR GRAHAM. February 1, 1984.
